The new politics sub-forum moderator !

Post by Admin on Fri Jul 03, 2009 10:00 am

Please welcome Jason as the new Politics sub-forum moderator !

It has become obvious to me that Jason has a much better grip on British politics than I do and as such I felt that it would be only natural to ask him to moderate the politics sub-forum.

He has graciously accepted the post and from today he has total control over the moderation of said forum.

Treat him well people and I am sure that he will stay and do a great job for us and for ROB2.

Hi Jason, for a youngster you certainly know your way around politics and I think that having you as the moderator for politics sound like a very good move as far as Paps is concerned.

Just being a girly-girl I don't have a lot of interest in politics but if it effects my job as a teacher and/or effects the lives of my charges I will soon get interested.

Let me wish you good luck in that task too !

Thanks Angie, Politics affects every element in society so that’s were my own interest comes from been trying to get into EU politics for some time. Much more complicated than UK politics but the lack of understanding within the general public in the UK is my driving force a better understanding can only lead to more informed choices at the next European elections.

The political class in the UK try to ignore Europe leaving the voice of the extreme or right of politics the only voice, the media can also be very lax in they reporting.

Any way to the point ill do my best!

I for one would benefit from knowing more about European politics as it appears that the only ones really interested in this are the ones that are feathering their nests in Brussels.

I don't think that this is just a "girly-girl" problem Angie and if I had said that I would probably have been howled down for being sexist.

As Jason says, politics weaves itself around almost all aspects of life in Britain and it is seldom the case that anything happens that is not effected by what our political representatives do in our name.

THAT...is the reason why I am so interested in politics even if I am not as expert in them as Jason so obviously is.

Thanks Zathrus. Shocked at all the support ive received still waiting for some one to put the boot in lol. Paps is no more right than any one else including myself we all have different views. I personally find I agree with many of what Paps writes like all of us we can only say our opinion if 1 or 10 of us agree it makes no difference though it does give us insight.

Look forward to your contribution in the political forum every opinion expressed is precious.

You always were a cheeky ole sod weren't you ? Laughing ( just kidding ).

As Jason says, the more people that take an active interest - including you - in online politics discussions the more effective our opinions will be in the halls of Britain's government.

Be certain sure that even lowly forums like this one are flagged up to the snoops at GCHQ and very little that is said in public like this does not fall under the gaze of someone in power.
