So near and yet so far I suppose.

I was soooooo looking forward to seeing him trash Federer in the final that I am now suffering from withdrawl symptoms. Now that it will be Roddick and Federer battling it out for the title I am not really as interested as I was before.

There is no doubt that our Andy will come again and I am now looking forward to Wimbledon fortnight next year.

Got to admit that now that Andy Murray is out I want Federer to win for the seventh time.

Ahh.. I have mixed feelings - or would have had had Andy Murray reached the final.

Being Swiss - I want Federer to do well and want him to achieve a new record. Living in the UK though .. I want a Brit to win Wimbledon all the same.

At least I will now be rooting for Roger this afternoon.

I have always been a fan of Federer as he is the epitome of an unflappable tennis machine. I just hope that he plays as well with Roddick today as he has for the season so far.

Andy Murray's day will come again...even "nasty" Nastase says so.

Well FF, you should be well pleased with your Swiss countryman as he did a great job against a very agressive Andy Roddick.

I watched the whole event and by the time it was finished I was as exhausted as they must have been. What a display !

As a Murray fan, I too was happy that Federer beat Roddick as in some way that made up for Roddick beating Murray.

I can't wait now for next year's tennis at Wimbers.
