School day trip visa warning post-Brexit.

Post by papa_umau on Tue 01 May 2018, 12:31 pm

There are calls to make sure Brexit does not mean that school day trips across the Channel are caught up in requirements for visas.

The British Council and head teachers' leaders have signed an open letter saying that school visits should not be put at risk from red tape after Brexit.

Almost a third of secondary schools in England arrange such overseas cultural trips, says the British Council.

I have seen arguments that after Brexit the Brits might have to apply and pay for a visas to get to anywhere in Europe.

This plan will effect the people that want to go over the Irish border as well.

I would not be surprised one bit if we eventually have to apply for and pay for visas to get into Europe after Brexit.

Just another draw-back to pulling out of Europe.

Yes Zathrus, this is one of the actions that we might expect after the dirty deed is done.

I am sure that we may find many more as the EU try to find ways to punish us for leaving the European family.

I agree that the 27 countries that are left in the EU may very well try to make life difficult for us once we have pulled out.

Of course, I am only guessing here, but I know how I might feel if I was in charge of any one of these European member states.

A few of them are actively considering pulling out of the EU because of the great cost of being a member.

We may see a few new applications for exit if our Brexit is successful.
