Shape of Water and McDormand rule Oscars.

Guillermo del Toro's fantasy wins best picture and Frances McDormand takes best actress for Three Billboards.

The Shape of Water, about a woman who falls in love with a sea creature, has taken the top honours at the Oscars.

Frances McDormand won best actress for Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, and persuaded every female nominee to stand with her in a night full of statements about inclusion.

Britain's Gary Oldman was named best actor for playing Winston Churchill in World War Two epic Darkest Hour.

The Shape of Water won the most Oscars with four, including best film.

Oscars 2018: Ex-Hollyoaks star uses sign language in acceptance speech for The Silent Child.

The Silent Child, which tells the story of a girl who struggles to communicate, was named best live action short film.

It stars Maisie Sly, aged six, from Swindon, and Rachel Shenton, who played Mitzeee Minniver in the Channel 4 soap.

The film has already made over $148,400,138 worldwide.

I think it could be the biggest box-office success of the year.
