EU pensions rip-off: Brussels 'overcharging Britain on liabilities by 7bn'

The EU is trying to over-charge Britain for its share of Eurocrats' pensions to the tune of 7bn (6.2bn), it has been claimed, even as European capitals continue to squeeze the UK over the so-called Brexit bill.

British Brexit negotiators are questioning EU calculations over the size of pension liabilities - listed as some 67bn in the EU accounts - of which the UK share should be around 11bn on the point of exit.

Read the rest of this revelation from The Telegraph HERE

As I see it, it seems as if they are trying as hard as they can to stop us from getting a decent result from leaving the EU.

Maybe they just don't want us to leave ?

It is obvious that they do not want us to leave.

I suspect they are going to be putting log-jams into just about any negotiating we try.

If we cannot win the negotiations this will force a hard Brexit.

I see what you are getting at there Zathrus.

As before we finally get out of Europe we, ( the UK Negotiators ), are going to have a hard job getting a deal that allows us to stay in the single market and the Customs Union.

If we cannot get a deal like this then all that will be left after that would be a hard Brexit.

As Angela Merkel said yesterday to Theresa May: It is time that she told Europe exactly what she wants.

But thinking about that, the more we say what we want the more they are going to say we are not going to get it.

Yes, keeping the negotiations vague means that there are fewer subjects the EU negotiators can come down on.

I'm totally fed up with the whole Brexit business.

We'll be shafted whatever happens, one way or another.

I just want to get it over with.

I think that most people in Britain are now thinking like that, even the original "out" voters of the referendum.

These wranglings are still to go through about two years of push-and-pull and by the time it is fully settled almost all of the British voters will be totally sick off it.
