Fake news; does it betray trust ?

Post by papa_umau on Tue 02 Jan 2018, 11:33 am

Here at Reevoo, were quite clear on how fake reviews can be bad for your business.

They can destroy the trust between customer and brand; get you in hot water with the law; and lead to your business being censored by search engines.

We were delighted when the good folks behind Rip Off Britain decided to investigate the industry and came to visit the Reevoo HQ (otherwise known as a bastion of honest and sensible reviewing practices). They talked to our founder Richard Anson about spotting fake reviews.

Its also a problem that others in the industry are waking up to.

This summer, the UKs Competition and Markets Authority showed they take the issue just as seriously when they published a call for information for a report on online reviews and endorsements.

Get the full report from Reevo HERE

I am sure that much of the market depends on good reviews, and for potential customers to get fake reviews instead, I am sure that skews the truths about many traders, especially online traders.

Reevo and Rip-Off Britain in cohorts with each-other ?

Why does that not surprise me ?

While this is certainly true, it does not mean that they are in cohorts in order to rip us off.
