Donald Tusk going to try to force Britain to stay in the EU.

Brexit Could Still Be Stopped, Says EU Council Chief Donald Tusk

Brexit can still be avoided in the United Kingdom chooses, the president of the European Council has said.

Donald Tusk told the European Parliament on Tuesday that the remaining EU 27 member states must be united in their negotiations with Britain.

“We have managed to build and maintain unity among the 27. But ahead of us is still the toughest stress test. If we fail it, the negotiations will end in our defeat,” he said.

I have been wondering for a long time now if the 27 have been getting their heads together in order to make it virtually impossible for Britain to get out of Europe.

Now Donald Tusk is confirming the greatest fear of the Brexiteers..

No doubt this tack will become obvious after Davis and May are unable to make any negotiating progress in the months and years top come.

It's a fact that the EU and the EC do NOT want Britain to leave and that is all the reason they will need in order to put a log-jam in the negotiations.

If the Tory negotiators are unable to make headway under this situation, I would not be surprised if we did come away without any deal. Of course that would wipe out the Tory party in government and force another general election.

    Well said Zathrus.

The best deal for the EU would be for Britain to STAY in the European Community, and I think that is what they are angling for by making getting out so hard to do.

If we keep begging for crumbs and they keep saying NO I can see this whole thing falling apart while The Tories are in charge.

Because the EU negotiators have the instructions to make every step of the Brexit  deal so very hard to get I think they are hoping that Britain might give in and give up the argument.

This does not surprise me one bit as I am sure that the EU does not want us to pull out of this partnership at all.
