Two nasty rip-offs in Britain today.

Post by papa_umau on Mon 21 Aug 2017, 11:11 am

Time to Rein in the excesses of rip-off Britain today.

    Here's two of them:

Rip-off Britain (1): A Mail investigation exposes how unscrupulous insurance firms extort interest of up to 45 per cent from customers who pay premiums monthly – a rate that would make the most rapacious loan companies blush.
Buried in the small print, these morally indefensible charges can add up to £450 to the cost of insuring a car.

Rip-off Britain (2): On the same day, it emerges that bosses of the UK’s ten biggest house builders have been paid almost £170million since the launch of the Government’s Help to Buy scheme.
This orgy of avarice has been partly at the expense of hard-pressed taxpayers, whose money was intended for cash-strapped first-time buyers.

Get the full story on this HERE

Sometimes I am astonished how and why us Brits are attacked in this way so readily.

It seems obvious that we just don't know how to recognises a rip-off when we see one.

Yes, Zathrus, although you are right about that, there is a difference between regular rip-offs and new rip-offs.

I try to tell the ROB readers about the NEW ones.

Notice the Daily Heil couldn't resist the obligatory dig at Corbyn.

There were actually three ripoffs in that piece, the Care Homes still charging for deceased patient's room after the deaths of the occupants is really beyond the pale, IMO.

Yes, the Daily Mail and the Telegraph are still very Tory in their support structures, but I still try to get good stories from both of those rags as I go about the internet.
