As many as nine in ten people said they are receiving at least one dodgy email a month thats evaded their spam filters, new Which? research on email scams has found.

I am beginning to notice these nasty things on my mobile phone now as well.

We are just going to have to be very aware about these if we are not going to get caught in them.

    It certainly is Zathrus.

To be able to NOT get caught in this web of scammers we have to be very vigilant and have every bit of anti-virus and scamware software on our computers and phones that we can.

If you are running Windows 10 on your computer you will be protected by the very good anti-virus programme called Defender, which will update virus definitions automatically. And, of course you must have the Windows Firewall active too.

Any other operating system will have anti-virus programmes built in too, but if not you can get a lot of choice in anti-virus apps and programes from third parties.

Juts pop "antivirus programmes" into Google or any of the other search engines and you will get a vast number of antivirus tools available from, for free, or to be paid for.

    Thanks for the advice Papa.

I had noticed that there are a few "PayPal" attached scams out there.

What I wonder is; why do PayPal not attack these scammers for damaging their reputation ?

I am sure they are big enough and wealthy enough to protect their good name.

That is a very good question Angie.

I have no clue also why PayPal do not police themselves and their transactions better.
