How do I stop my phone from being stolen ?

Post by papa_umau on Tue 18 Jul 2017, 11:08 am

Read the guides to this from The BBCHERE

I know many of you are going to say that the protection of you're phone is simply common sense, but I know for a fact that a lot of people never even think of their expensive smart-phone's security.

Even if many of the detail in this guide ARE purely common sense, I think it is good to have this information laid right under our noses now and again.

Easy really. Be aware, don't use it when alone walking in known crime areas, don't advertise it's presence. better still, use an older model less likely to get pinched.

Yes HG, those are more common-sense approaches to the problem.

I was shocked to find out that the new Samsung Galaxy S8+ costs more than seven hundred pounds to buy off contract. They can now be bought "second hand" for around four hundred pounds.

It is these values that make mobile smart-phones such a worth-while target for the sneak-thieves.

It is these artificial up-front costs for sim-free smart-phones that encourages some people, especially the youngsters, to get the latest phones on contract.

As these phones, on contracts, come with a thirty to forty pound monthly cost they add up to silly money over the contract period of now up to three years in some cases.

The arithmetic is easy: 36 months at the cheaper 30 per month comes to 1,080
