General election: Theresa May to face Tory backbench MPs

Theresa May will face tough questions later from her backbenchers after the Conservatives lost their majority at last week's election.

The MPs are expected to raise concerns about her leadership style, and press for more details on talks with the Democratic Unionists.

Mrs May's new cabinet will also meet for the first time after a reshuffle.

Brexit Secretary David Davis predicted some parts of the Tory manifesto would now have to be "pruned".

The long knives are coming out in a way that only the Tories know to do.

After the shambles of the failed election Theresa May is going to find out just how many enemies she has in her party.

George Osborne made sure of how her enemies are going to behave when he said that Theresa May is a "dead woman walking" and It is now all about "how long she is going to spend on death row".

With friends like that she is not going to need more enemies.

If you ask Jeremy Corbyn he has had a pretty good slashing at the expense of his 'colleagues' as well and now the greaseballs expect a piece of the action!

The "colleagues" in the Labour party that have been giving Corbyn a hard time are the dwindling-fast centre right that were followers of Tony Blair.

After the unprecedented success in the 8th June election, the ones that thought Corbyn had no chance - including me - will now be happy to get right back into Socialism and support him as they should have in the first place.

Harold Wilson once said: "A week in politics is a very long time" and we are now finding that he was right.

Theresa May is hanging on by a thread, and her alliance with the Irish DUP is a contract made in hell that will rip the heart out of her failed manifesto policies.

She is going to rue the day that she fell in with that lot.
