    Can-a-space-age-7-seater-electric-car-have-a-351-mile-range ?

    Can a space-age 7-seater electric car have a 351 mile range?

Find out more about the Tesla Model X. Plus we've reviewed the enormous Fiat Tipo SW and the new hybrid SUV from Kia - the Kia Niro

Not a week goes by without Tesla or its maverick owner Elon Musk making the news whether its self-driving cars, hyperloop or underground roads (more on those later).

But nothing gets the heart racing quite like a new Tesla car, so Which? has taken a look at its biggest model yet the Tesla Model X.

Read more on this review from Which? HERE

Owning an electric car myself I am always keen to find out what developments are coming in this growing market.

Mind you, it is still a shame that electric cars, especially the Tesla cars, are not getting any cheaper.

All of the electric cars are still too expensive.

The better range of the Tesla model X is because of the much bigger battery with much denser lithium Ion cells.

The newer battery technologies that are coming to the fore are still a way off.

Yes, the smaller electric cars like my Nissan Leaf cannot house the bigger batteries that Tesla use to give such great range.

Mind you the 2018 Nissan Leaf is promising a 200+ mile range battery.

I do not have to start looking for my next electric car until my PCP contact is up in 2019, and by that time things should have improved around range-anxiety.

The escaped photos of the 2018 model make the car look very attractive.

Here is what the next generation Nissan Infinity car is expected to look like

OK Papa, that is just a concept, but it is really beautiful.

It is a shame that very few concept cars ever come to production.

Very true Angie, but even if they use only a few of the great looks that come from the concept car, in the production model, and if they offer three levels of battery inbuilt, ( all at different prices ), as they are promising to do, I have no doubt that I will be keen on buying another Nissan Leaf in 2019.
