    The Northern Lights from Norway.

Post by papa_umau on Mon 10 Apr 2017, 11:25 am

Quite a few people in Britain will have seen the Northern Lights, ( The Aurora Borealis ), especially the people who live in the North of Scotland, but you have to go to Norway or other points further North to see this spectacle in all of it's possible glory.

Fredrik Broms from Sweden has spent more than ten years photographing the Northern Lights in Norway and his portfolio includes dozens of breathtaking shots showcasing these natural illuminations.

If you would like to look at a few of his photographs just go to THIS Daily Mail online page to see for yourself.

Well folks, if you have had a look at these images, what do you think of the Northern Lights as pictured by Fredrik Broms ?

    Totally beautiful.

Nature can be astounding when it is caught just right by a good cameraman.

Yes, those pictures taken by the Swedish cameraman are probably the best I have ever seen of the Aurora Borealis.

Take a look the rest of you ROBSTERS, as you will not be disappointed.

Oh, I have to agree that I have never seen the Northern lights looking so magnificent before.

Great images by that Swedish cameraman.

Living in Scotland, I often get a chance to see the Aurora Borealis, but I have never see them looking like how they look in that guy's photos.

I just thought that you people living down South, who never get to see the Northern Lights, might like to see what they really look like from the far North.

Love the pics, but the way they are often shown is by time-lapse, which speeds up the appearance, and often spoils the experience when folk get to see it in person.

Yes, photographers do often use time-lapse in order to make something slow-moving move fast enough for us to see it properly.

There is nothing to beat seeing it first hand from as far North as you can get, and living in Scotland means that I get to see this light-show fairly regularly.
