Brexit rebel Lord Heseltine sacked from government role.

Post by papa_umau on Wed 08 Mar 2017, 11:16 am

Former Conservative Deputy Prime Minister Lord Heseltine has been sacked as a government adviser after rebelling over Brexit in the House of Lords.

Lord Heseltine backed the demand for a parliamentary vote on the final deal to be written into Brexit legislation.
He learned hours later on Tuesday that he had been fired from five government advisory roles he had held.

This proves, if nothing will, that any disloyalty to the Tory party will be quickly followed by severe sanctions.

It also proves that the second defeat for The Commons in The Lords in recent days is giving the Tory government a lot of worries over Brexit.

    More to come I think.

Heseltine was always a bit of a rebel and his rebelliousness has finally done him in.

I think the Tories are well aware that they will get stabbed in the back if they ever show dissent against the government. It's just the way that they do it and have always done it.

He has more balls than those who have caved in to brexit. The sooner the government does a U turn the better, and his experience will be needed then.

Yes folks, "Tarzan", ( thanks HG ), had to either be brave or foolish to go against his party line.

As a Tory, he knew what he would get when he rebelled again.
