Appeals court denies Trump request to immediately restore travel ban

WASHINGTON (AP) — A federal appeals court denied early Sunday the Justice Department's request for an immediate reinstatement of President Donald Trump's ban on accepting certain travellers and all refugees.

The Trump administration appealled a temporary order restraining the ban nationwide, saying late Saturday night that the federal judge in Seattle overreached by "second-guessing" the president on a matter of national security.

It now looks like the law-courts in America are going to come down hard on as many of Trump's decrees as they can.

This is one that is not going to go way.

    Another problem for Trump:

Bercow bans Trump from addressing parliament.

'It's not Gogglebox': John Bercow faces fight for his job as furious MPs accuse Speaker of 'grandstanding' and 'hypocrisy' over his ban on Trump addressing parliament.

Furious Tory MPs are considering forcing a vote of no confidence in the Speaker after an extraordinary intervention in which he branded the US President 'racist and sexist' and said he would not authorise the use of historic Westminster Hall during the impending state visit.

The thing is that as The Speaker of The House, John Bercow, has every right not to let Trump get access to our parliament, as he quite-rightly said that Trump was "racist and sexist".

Do the Robsters think that this was a good decision or a bad one ?

In the news it said that Trump is going to take this to the Supreme Court.

I just hope that The Supreme Court upholds the decisions of the lower courts on this.

    No doubt we shall see.

Latest news about this is that Trump has now changed his state-visit date until the parliament is no longer sitting, so that this question can be avoided.

If he does come here on an official state visit we are going to see mass protests like we have never seen before or at least since the Poll-Tax protests.
