Lib Dems 'are back' after shock by-election win.
Lib Dem leader Tim Farron claims his party is "back in the big time" after it fought on the issue of Brexit to oust ex-Conservative MP Zac Goldsmith in the Richmond Park by-election.
Lib Dem challenger Sarah Olney overturned Mr Goldsmith's 23,015 majority to finish 1,872 votes ahead.
................................................
I don't know if this is an attack on the Tories because of Brexit or not, but the candidate that won the election won it on a platform that stood against the third runway at Heathrow.
One thing that this aberration does show is that the Tories can be beat just about anywhere if the argument is good enough.
