Theresa May says that she can get a good Brexit deal.

Theresa May 'optimistic' she can get right Brexit deal for UK

Theresa May has predicted "difficult moments" ahead in Brexit negotiations but said she is optimistic she can get a deal "that is right for the UK".

Speaking at a summit in Brussels, she said she felt it could be achieved, despite the continuing deadlock over a landmark EU-Canada trade deal .

This lady must be in a terrible cleft stick at the moment, her being a previous remainer supporter but now having to try to negotiate a decent Brexit deal for the UK.

Caught between the Devil and the Deep blue sea, ( as the saying goes ), I think.

She is kidding herself, and us, as she has no chance of making any good deals with an EU that Britain is supposed to be leaving.

Your buddy Sturgeon, Paps, is hoping that May will not be able to generate a soft Brexit as she wants as hard an exit as she can get so as to be able to wind up the Scots to vote for another independence referendum.

In other words, a soft Brexit just weakens Sturgeon's argument for another referendum in Scotland.

She aint no "buddy" of mine Zathrus as I have criticised the way that she does things for a very long time.

I do think that a "soft" Brexit is not going to happen as the people who voted to withdraw from the EU just wanted us out ASAP, without any further discussions.

I honestly think that the only people that are going to get anything out of Europe before article 50 is signed will be the banks as they need total freedom to move money around and across all of the world's borders.

I honestly cannot see Mrs May getting a good deal for the UK while she is in the process of pulling out of the EU.

It is a bit like eating your cake and having it too.

I am, in fact, a bit sick of that word "Brexit" as it now has a life of it's own.

Yes, that is a word that is now destined for the dictionaries.

Thinking about the problems that Theresa May is going to have, I cannot see her winning any deals for after we are out of the EU, as the Brussels bureaucrats will not be keen on giving anything to a county that is abandoning the community.

As an original remainer she will not want a hard Brexit but she may not be able to soften the blow if the EU leaders dig their heels in.
