    Designer drugs.

Post by papa_umau on Thu 18 Aug 2016, 11:23 am

Now that the "legal high's" are taking the place of the traditional drugs at festivals and raves is it not about time that these dangerous substances were mad to be ILLEGAL ?

HERE is a Wikipedia list of the latest designer drugs that are not illegal at the moment.

The great worry about these pills is that the silly people who take them have no idea whatsoever what is in these things.

The designer drugs like "N-bomb", "Eve", and "Smiles" are now killing more people than heroin does world-wide.

HERE is a group of pages from Google that tell us about these unnecessary deaths.

If this is not a rip-off of high proportions, nothing is ?

Yes this is a new addiction to add to the ones already there.

I honestly cannot see why young people trust what is supposed to be in these drugs as they don't know what conditions they were manufactured under and they have no clue what the chemicals used in them will do to their bodies.

I cannot understand why so many young people are so gullible.

I guess it is all about leaders and followers as the leaders will do it to try to look cool, and make money, of course, while the followers, like sheep, do what they usually do.

I think that when many of these kids go to raves and such-like they almost expect to be offered at least "weed" and if not then some other "safe" drug as part of the experience.

For more and more it is going to be their LAST experience.

As part of the curriculum in my school we tell the children on a number of occasions about the risks associated with buying unknown substances at music festivals and the like.

I feel that it our job to warn the kids about these pitfalls as part of our duty of care.

    Yes it is Angie.

The trouble is that good advice given in a schools situation is often too easy to forget while everybody is having a good time.
