Are China today's robber barons ?

Post by papa_umau on Mon 04 Apr 2016, 11:52 am

Cameron: "Chinese rip-offs are top of my list if elected"

Far Eastern copycat of Range Rover's Evoque is 'just not acceptable' says PM during visit to Longbridge.

The Prime Minister told the Post he intended to take the issue up with political leaders in China after Jaguar Land Rover complained nothing had been done to combat persistent copying.

HERE is the full story from the Birmingham Post online.

This generates a few thoughts that are not compatible with Cameron's promises in this respect.

First of all, the Chinese are probably the greatest "copiers" of all time next to The Japanese and Taiwanese as these Eastern countries have been stealing the West's ideas and copying them since the second word war ended.

Also, Cameron is just blustering here as he knows he cannot frighten the Chinese into doing anything.

His last trip to China was supposed to try to sort out the dumping of cheap steel on the world's markets but all that happened was that China imposed a 40% import tariff of any steel coming into Their country.

I have to ask: Who is kidding who here ?

Yes Paps, I think that most people will be able to see through Cameron's lies as far as this is concerned.

He cannot make China do anything and with us needing China's money to build nuclear power stations and to invest 30 billion in UK-plc this year.

Anyway, China are having their own problems, as the oligarchs in this supposedly Communist country are breaking laws right left and centre to get their money out of the country.

They are buying real estate around the EU and in Britain at levels that have never been seen before and people are getting caught smuggling Yuan-notes taped to their legs under their trousers. ( BBC news last night ).

I would love to know why Ca Moron is opening the doors to trade with this nation which blatantly puts its own interests first, no matter the effect.

I am particularly worried about the Hinckley Point 'C' Power Station, as well as Steel and other pies the Chinese have their sticky fingers in.

Yes, it is certainly a worry that Cameron is willing to let China get more and more control of what happens in Britain and still try to tell us that he is influencing their abysmal record of human rights and stopping their practice of flooding cheap subsidised goods, especially steel, onto our markets.

This is a punter that wants to have his cake and eat it too.
