    Strip joints get attacked for tax;

    Post by Angie baby on Sat 05 Dec 2015, 1:16 pm

    HMRC launches tax crackdown on strippers !

    Government sets up taskforce to target adult club owners and 'entertainers' following a dramatic rise in online escort agencies.

    I found this in the Telegraph here: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/retailandconsumer/12034341/HMRC-launches-tax-crackdown-on-strippers.html

    I don't know about you guys, as it is the needs of men that drive these establishments, but I think that such places release the pressure valve of male sexuality because of the pent-up needs of these dirty blokes.

    If they are closed down for taxation reasons we are going to be liable to find more cases of rape and sexual assault on the streets as a result.

    What say you manly men on ROB ?

    I don't think they are going to actually close these establishments down; all they seem to want is that they pay their share of the tax.

    I am certainly not against that.

    I have always thought that as closing such establishments down is a very difficult thing to do, as they will just pop up again elsewhere, I would make escort agencies and even prostitution legal, so they CAN pay all of their taxes.

    This is coming from a man, if not necessarily a "manly-man" as I am a confirmed male feminist.

    I too have always thought that these establishments are providing a service that cannot be found elsewhere and closing them will just drive the needs onto the streets.

    Instead of persecuting these dives they should be made legal and taxed to the hilt.

    Am I wrong in thinking this ?

    No mate, in my opinion you are NOT wrong.

    Any kind of prohibition will always come out again at the first opportunity.

    I am thinking of the damage that was done in America during the years of drink prohibition where, all that happened was that it went underground and into the hands of organised crime.

    This is the exact-same risk we would present if we tried to ban top-shelf magazines, escort agencies, and strip joints.
