    Centre parcs

Post by Nuthin fancy on Sat 17 Oct 2015, 2:24 pm

    Hi all,

just been reading about this blatant rip off by Centre parcs.

It is costing Uk families up to 900 more for the same centre park break in the UK as compared with mainlamd Europe !. A break with similar facilities and days can be up to 900 less in the parcs in Germany and also less in France. When challenged a spokesman said it was ude to the difficulties of trading in the Uk and the very different environment ( I thought a parc was a ruddy parc !! ) !!. Another blatant rip off.

I have never been to one of these glorifeid camping sites, but if you have any sense you would boycot them and then let them feel the pain by the loss of business....Bandits !

I'm not within the income bracket to use such places, any more than I can afford Theme Parks.

Sorry to hear that HG; it appears that what Technician is saying is correct.

    Technician...

Yes, I found this in the Online Daily Mail as well.

It seems that the UK company and the European versions are not now the same company.

    See THIS

I think that this is just an extension to many other examples of how the people in Britain are regularly ripped off.

If this was to get to be general knowledge we might see a lot fewer Brits going to Centre Parcs here and saving money by going to Europe for their school term breaks.

    Well spotted Technician !

I read recently that a day out on a family ticket to Alton Towers cost 600! More than a month's pension! I can think of far better uses for my money!

Yes, for ordinary people like us that is far too expensive.

For a long time we were seeing the Brits choosing to go abroad for their hol's, but now that most of Europe and especially the Greek islands are suffering badly with the refugee crisis many European destinations are now off limits.

Soon we will be stuck with "staycations" instead of trips abroad, unless we can afford the big cruises and the long haul holidays.

No, there are few of us. My son is my carer, and my daughter has her husband and son to worry about. None of us drive, unfortunately, since I had to give up due to failing sight.

    Sorry about that HG.

Your story is exactly why I constantly have a go at Osborne and IDS as their vicious attacks on the weakest and poorest of our society is downright wicked.

I hope that the people in middle England that let this lot back in again have elderly parents just like you that tells them, they made a grave mistake.
