Dubai: Luxury cars abandoned at airport.

Post by papa_umau on Mon 29 Jun 2015, 12:06 pm

Never before has there been better evidence about "easy come easy go" than when we look at the number of supercars that have been left abandoned at Dubai's airports.

Many hundreds or thousands of big-time investors have thrown money at oil and gas in the middle East just to find that they are in serious trouble because of the crash in oil and gas prices.

Now they are running away as fast as thay can and they are not taking their supercars with them.

Read THIS from "ListsandNews" of Reuters.

It would be easy to say "they get what they deserve" but what a terrible waste we see here with the value of these cars just abandoned by the roadside.

I have to ask: Is this "just deserts" ?

    Anybody.

    Hi all,

Thats interesting !!!. I was in Dubai in March, but did not see this myself, but I would not be surprised.

I had arrived from Muscat in Oman ( in my view a far nicer place ) and only stayed overnignt before flying home. I think its one of those places that will see the bubble burst. Fir Coat and no knickers if you ask me. Apart from that it seems full of yuppies. Don't like it, and its ruddy expensive as well ( If you want a good time and to blow a few quid Las Vegas is far better !!! )

But what a terrible shame and a waste to see all those beautiful cars just dumped and left by the wayside.

    It certainly is "easy-come-easy-go"

Personally, it makes me bloody angry. Mad

When people have so much money they can buy such expensive cars and just dump them by the side of the road at an airport, something must be seriously wrong.

    It's disgusting. Suspect

The big question is "buying" ?

I cannot see any supercar that has been fully paid for being dumped by the roadside or at the airport-side.

I suspect that many of these cars have been bought on tick and they have been dumped like that because the previous owners don't want to be nabbed for the rest of the payments.

If it is just super-rich arabs that are doing this I think that they are dumped for convenience-sake and no other reason.

I mean, these royal families own and rule the countries they come from and they do not need to worry about dumping a car like this as nobody is going to chase them up.
