Energy cost savings for the well off.

Post by papa_umau on Mon 02 Mar 2015, 10:55 am

'I get paid 3,706 a year to heat my home here's how'

A well off family earn an income by heating their bungalow with 'green' devices.

The seriously committed householders are going further still: by using a range of Government subsidies they actually get paid to heat their home.

So far, 22,590 families are pocketing renewable heat payments, funded from 125m of taxpayer money, for running green heating systems such as heat pumps, biomass boilers and solar panels.

They earn hundreds or even thousands of pounds each year by generating heat and power with these devices.

Read the whole story from The Telegraph HERE

I am sure that many of us already know that such subsidies are available for the installation of green energy projects in the family home, but we have to admit that thinking seriously about this idea means that we have to be living in the right kind of a home, be fairly well off, and be willing to lay out a considerable amount of money in order to save some money.

For the greatest majority of British citizens this green future is simply unaffordable, therefore, once again, it is the well off that can make these savings while the rest of us just have to continue to struggle to pay our ever-rising energy bills.

    Anybody ?

There is no doubt that even with the subsidies that these people get they still have to wait ten or more years to get back their cash outlay for such green installations.

NOT for the people who are struggling to get by every day.

Wouldn't it be nice if all of these green methods of saving energy was already built into the homes of the future.

If they were we could very soon see the dying out of energy from fossil fuels.

That is going to be the future, but we are finding it difficult to make that final step.

Yes Zathrus, many visionaries can see how the renewables are going to finally and eventually change the face of energy-production.

The gas, coal and oil producers and dealers are going to find that their filthy products are no longer wanted in the modern world, and even although it may take a few hundred years for this to come about around the world, it WILL come about as we will have no choice if we want to stop polluting our planet.

Sadly, I will not live to see this, but in the interim I am going to fight as hard as I can to help to bring this energy revolution about.
