Too little too late from Alexander.

Record View: Danny Alexander's austerity U-turn too little, too late

DANNY Alexander has said that Tory cuts will drive Britain off the edge, but, we say that he has left it too late to try to sound like a Lib-Dem.

GINGER rodent Danny Alexander bared his teeth yesterday as he turned on his Tory coalition partners.

The Lib Dem hatchet man joined party leader Nick Clegg yesterday in slamming the Tories in a bid to avoid being punished by voters at next years general election.

The move follows David Camerons attack on the poor this week, saying he would slash 3billion from welfare budgets as part of a 25billion cuts agenda.

I think that Alexander might be quite mad if he thinks that turning on his Con-Dem pals at this point is going to change anybody's mind about the Liberal-Democrats.

    Anybody ?

Yes, they are going to have to work a lot harder than that if they are going to get back the confidence of the British people ever again.

I can still hear the gurgling when he and his party go right down the drain.

    "Gurgling" eh ?

That is actually quite amusing. Shocked

I honestly think that it will not matter how hard the Lib-Dems scrabble to get back their reputation as a party of fairness, they are going to be forever tainted by the stink of the Tories on their backs.

I am sure that Clegg knew the risk he was taking when he and his party threw in with the Tories just to gain a bit of power that was not achievable any other way, but now he knows for sure that his greatest fears have been realised by that traitorous act.

Yes, it is patently obvious what Clegg and Alexander are trying to do at this late stage. It is also obvious that very few of the electorate are going to buy their twisted logic as they try to stay true to their coalition promises and yet try to still sound like Liberal Democrats.

They, and their party, are dead in the water, they will just not sink.

Dead right Angie. The thing is that they will just not admit that they are dead and waiting to be buried.

The general election of 2015 will show them just how badly they have shrunk since, and because, they threw in their lot with the Tories.

I just cannot wait to see this happening.
