    "Streets safer after Afghan mission"

Post by papa_umau on Mon 10 Nov 2014, 12:01 pm

'Streets safer' after Afghan mission, says General Sir Nicholas Houghton.

The UK's top military officer says the "streets of the United Kingdom are safer" because of the Afghan mission.

Chief of the Defence Staff General Sir Nicholas Houghton said the "prime strategic purpose" of having troops in the country had been achieved.

"In the last 13/14 years there has not been a single international terrorist attack launched from Afghanistan," he said.

Britain's 13-year war in Afghanistan ended last month.

As far as I am concerned, it is this kind of  triumphalism that makes people think that they are now safe from attack while there is still growth in Jehadism from all over the world and the risk from attack has not yet been officially downgraded from "SEVERE" yet.

In fact, saying things like that will only make the terrorists more determined to prove that fool wrong.

    What say you ?

As you asked..... I say, that every time any of the Western countries make war on any of the middle-eastern countries they are going to help the growth in recruitment to the Jehadi cause.

Instead of making life safer in the West they are making the increase of bombings like 9/11 and 7/7 even more likely.

This risk is even more deadly when second or third generation British Muslims go to Terrorist camps in order to be trained in making war on us in the only ways that they can.

That General is a total idiot clown if he thinks that we will believe what he says.

I guess that, as a General, he is just saying things that he is expected to say.

No-one expects an Army general to say that, after the loss of so many lives, his "mission" was a failure.

Yes Papa, these people have to put a positive spin on what has happened, as if they don't, the British and the American people will see this as just another wasteful war.
