Keyless entry and unlock systems hacked.

Post by papa_umau on Sat 01 Nov 2014, 1:16 pm

In a response by Angie about this latest hack I have found more about it.

Firstly read the links on THIS Google page to find out more about this shocking news.

At the moment the car-makers are not saying very much about this, but they are going to have to start to do something if the high-end cars that are being stolen by using such hacks become any more common.

One direct effect will be that such very expensive cars will NOT be bought by customers if they are at easy risk of being stolen by hackers.

Watch this space, as I don't think this one is going to go away any time soon.

The case here is: If it can be hacked, it will be hacked, and the designers of those computer-controlled cars must be well aware of this risk.

True, and once they see that because of this security weakness the rich ones stop buying keyless entry and start cars, they are either going to have to beef up this security or simply take it out of their new and expensive cars.
