One of the rip-off supermarkets gets it's licks.

After posting a seriously wrong estimation of profits Tesco is in turmoil.

It was yesterday forced to suspend four top managers while an investigation was launched over profit estimations that were 250 million out.

HERE you can find nine questions Tescos investors will now be asking themselves:

( Click on the link and then scroll down to these questions found in The Telegraph ).

Yes, now all of the big and greedy supermarkets are hurting because of the competition from the discount stores.

It is about time that these rip-off supermarkets felt some of the pain that we do.

That wasn't actually the thread-start subject Zath'.

I was reporting that Tesco had been done for fiddling it's profits by 250 million.

Then again, I suppose that that might be the only way that they can try to tell us that all in their particular supermarket garden is still "coming up roses".

You might be right there, as no company that is listed on the stock exchange wants bad news to come to the ears of it's shareholders.

On this occasion trying to hide their drop in profits hit the markets even harder than it would have if they had just come clean in the first place.

That's as good a reason as any for this bit of crookery I suppose.

Still no excuse for not telling the truth about their profits.

    Yes, that's no excuse whatsoever.

I am pleased that Sainsburys, Tesco, and Morrisons are now feeling our pain.

I found it most amusing that Morrisons has introduced a "Match and more" loyalty car which purports to ensure that they will be able to price match with Aldi and Lidl and not necessarily with the other big supermarkets.

By doing this they are actually advertising that Aldi and Lidl are consistently cheaper than they are and the discounters could not get any better advertising.

This shows a sign of panic, if you ask me, and this act could give exactly the opposite reaction to what Morrisons are hoping for.
