The top jobs still go to the elite.

Post by zathrus on Thu 28 Aug 2014, 11:56 am

In a study by the Social Mobility and Child Poverty Commission it has been confirmed that most top jobs still go to the graduates from private schools and from the Oxbridge universities.

The research into 4,000 leaders of business, politics and public life should be a "wake-up call".

Chairman of the SMCPC, Alan Milburn - a former Labour cabinet minister - said: "It is time for a rethink in these institutions".

I have to agree with this research, because it seems patently obvious that the "jobs-for-the-boys" racket is still going strong.

What do you say folks ?

    Well spotted Zath'.

    Thanks for the information mate.

Mind you, that idea is, and always has been, true.

It is STILL great to see it in black-and-white from a reputable source like the SMCPC.

So long as we still have posh-boys like Cameron and Osborne in charge this situation will NEVER change.

The rich and privileged ones have always looked after each-other long before they even start to think of the rest.

    So true my dear.

In fact I often wonder why people vote for the Tories at all, as these voters must know that if they are ordinary people their needs will come last as far as the Tories are concerned.

The trouble is that the "old boys network" is still active and influencing many of the things that we do nowadays.

The only way to break this chain of abuse is to ensure that true democracy is held up and ALL of the people of Britain get to exert the control that is needed to keep life fair in Britain.

I am sure that this will always be the case so long as we have such a gulf between the have's and the have not's in Britain.

If we had true democracy here the strength of the influence of "the people" would ensure that fairness across the board would be the norm.

So long as the greatest amount of the power stays in the hands of the smallest number of the privileged ones in Britain this particular unfairness will abound.

A perfect example of this has been showed recently when the Westminster elite voted themselves a ten percent pay rise while the rest of the working population is restricted to one percent.
