    Parliament recalled on Iraq.

Post by papa_umau on Mon 18 Aug 2014, 11:55 am

"We wouldn't need to recall Parliament if it worked on the same schedule as the rest of us do":

Says Mary Deievsky of The independent newspaper.

"The inflexible tradition of annual recess isn't in keeping with the rest of the world".

Yes, we hear a lot from politicians about how many holidays the teachers have, but we never hear them complaining about the ridiculous summer breaks they get from running the country.

    ( They will get a 47 day break this summer ! ).

Well folks, what do YOU think about this ?

That "re-call" that you speak of was actually cancelled and only Cameron cut short his holiday in order to deal with the beheading of the American journo by what seemed to be a British person.

Well, at least Cameron will have had to break his holidays in order to be here to at least look as if he gives a damn.

You can be sure that if he HAS lost days from his holiday, he will get them back with interest later on.

The pig was only away for one day, as he was pictured next day right back in the surf.

    Thanks for that Angie.

At least in his wet-suit he will be all ready for the ice-bath stunt that Salmond and Darling have already taken.

The thing is that Cameron has said that he will not take the challenge, as it is "below his position of Prime Minister to do it".

THAT tells us a lot about the man does it not ?
