The EU supports the blacklisting of aliens

Post by papa_umau on Wed 16 Apr 2014, 11:40 am

NO...not visitors from outer-space, but the species of flora an fauna that have been artificially introduced to areas within the boundaries of the EU -including Britain - like Killer shrimps, Signal crayfish, Giant hogweed, Japanese knotweed, Rhododendron, Brazilian Rhubarb, and many more.

In fact Europe has 12,000 species of flora an fauna that are alien to the countries that they have established themselves in and Britain has 2,000 alien species too.

Read more on this plan from the BBC HERE

Most of these alien species have been introduced to countries that are not native to them because we, ( humans ), have been careless with what we carry and transport with us when we travel around the world.

Because it is us that have created this problem it should be us that tries very hard to sort it.

It is good to see the EU trying to make this into a Europe-wide effort.

    Don't you agree ?

    Hi All,

The EU tries its best to sort out all manner of issues to the point of stupidity ( yesterday It looked at the composition of 'honey' ). Still it gives them something to do; like moving the wholesale gravy train to Strassbourg for few days and then back to Brussels again on private trains and filling up the 6 star hotels.

Fear not, the quicker we leave this toxic crew the better...Roll on the EU elections and the chance of a referendum!!

Being a business-man I worry about what will happen to Britain if we ever pull out of Europe.

I can see the EU punishing us royally for pulling out and our economy suffering as a result.

Farage is a scare monger and there is nothing between him and Cameron if push comes to shove.

This thread is wearing a bit off track peeps.

What do you think of the animal and plant species that have been brought into Britain that are now out of control and giving us good reason to think of exterminating them ?

As has already been said in the article: "That is not an easy task!"
