    Farage could face fraud investigation.

Farage could face investigation into EU expenses

A former senior Ukip official has filed a formal complaint about Mr Farage to the EU anti-fraud office OLAF

Nigel Farage could face an expenses inquiry into allegations concerning £60,000 of “missing” European Union funds paid into his personal bank account.

The Ukip leader has received £15,500 a year from the EU since at least 2009 to pay for the upkeep of his constituency office, a small converted grain store near Bognor Regis, West Sussex, according to transparency reports filed on the party’s website.

However, the building was given rent-free to Mr Farage by Ukip supporters 15 years ago, The Times reported.

I do not want to jump the gun over this enquiry, but it looks as if there are very few of our political representatives that are NOT fiddling their expenses these days.

What say you about this topic.

    Farage

    Hi All,

Paps, you could be right about this. If Nigel is on the make it just tars him with the same brush as all the other chancers...talk about double standards. This will not help UKIP one bit. However it would not surprise me if this was the political dirty tricks brigade spreading the mud as UKIPs popularity increases.

One thing for sure IF its a fiddle then it just follows the EU norm for 'creative accounting' and avoiding the advice of auditors.

And, you will notice that it was an ex-UKIP member that blew the whistle on Farage.

I am not one bit surprised that Farage is just like the rest as they are all the same when it comes to money.

Yes, and every time we see evidence of this, no matter what political party we are looking at, this damages the respect that the public have for ALL politicians.

I don't know why they cannot just behave themselves when they know what will happen if they are ever caught.

Maybe the rules just need tightening up further if these people cannot be trusted to do it voluntarily.
