    The asset-management trades at risk.

Post by papa_umau on Fri 04 Apr 2014, 12:57 pm

After a crash in the banks in 2008 because of poor risk management and reckless dealing it is now being said that the massive amounts of money that is getting chucked around by the asset managers is going exactly the same way as the banks did.

    Read this from The Telegraph:

The world's $87 trillion (52 trillion) asset management industry is getting riskier and echoes some of the risks already being addressed at banks, the Bank of England's director of financial stability Andy Haldane said on Friday.

In a speech likely to leave the funds sector bristling, Haldane said some recent trends in activities raise the question whether these funds can also be "too big to fail", meaning they need curbs to avoid a failure wreaking havoc in markets and requiring a potential bailout by taxpayers.

The arrogance of these wasters beggars belief as they too seem to think that they cannot go wrong.

I guess all that we can say about this is: Watch this space !

Yes, these buggers have not been touched yet and just like the investment bankers they need to have their necks drawn in forcibly.

I am glad that I do not have any of my savings in their hands.

Actually, I do not have any "assets" at all.Sad

Your'e breaking my heart Angie. Very Happy

I guess, even if the middle income people like yourself are feeling the pinch, everybody below you are certainly going to be feeling it too.

I just hope that these asset management twits do not fall into the same hole that the banks fell into, as if they do their failure will have a knock-on effect for everybody that is in similar situations.
