    Public sector hammered by wage-gap.

Post by papa_umau on Tue 21 Jan 2014, 12:10 pm

After the war that Cameron and Osborne have waged against the British public sector it has been found by pay experts, Vocal Link, that the average public sector worker is now 3,700 worse off than the same private sector is.

High inflation and very low wage-growth has blown a big hole in the households of many public sector workers.

Vocal Link found that while public sector wages grew by about 0.5 percent in the year to last September, and that that is a fraction of the 2.2 percent rise recorded for Britain's biggest 350 private companies.

As this war against the public sector and the welfare services increases by the day we are seeing many lower-end families being driven into abject poverty and hopelessness by these cruel acts.

I hope that this too is remembered when the people of Britain go to vote next year.

    What say you ?

Ever since the nationalised industries and services got the bad reputation for being wasteful and bloated the Tories have used this as a way to get rid of all of the public services.

Now that these public services are being dismantled as quickly as they can, of course the people who work in these public services are going to be targets for their wages getting reduced as well.

To the Tories the private sector is the cure-all for these problems but I think that the people of Britain are now starting to look for not-for-profit companies to take the place of many of the greedy and profit-mad private companies.

In fact, I think that if we look we will find that many previously privatised services ARE being taken back into public ownership via the use of not-for-profit entities because they concentrate far more on the service and less on the profit motive.
