Eight out of ten effected by bedroom tax are disabled.

Post by papa_umau on Sun 24 Feb 2013, 12:33 pm

NEW figures show the sick and disabled will bear the brunt of the Tories' hated new tax.

New figures reveal the sick and disabled are the main victims of changes that could force anyone with a spare bedroom out of their home unless they have their housing benefit cut.

The tax is part of the Government’s blitz on benefits, under which the sick and disabled are being reassessed for work and housing benefit.

Council or housing association tenants with spare bedrooms face being forced to move to a smaller home or losing up to 25 per cent of their housing benefit.

Well folks, it seems that this unfair tax is now hammering the weakest and the poorest people in Britain, just like Thatcher's Poll-tax did, and it may have similar consequences for the present day Tories as it did with Thatcher's government unless they do something about it right now.

    What say you ?

During my lunch-break yesterday I watched a bit of the parliament channel and even during that short time the Tories were getting a lot of stick about the bedroom-tax.

This bedroom-tax could definitely be Cameron's poll-tax if he does not fix it very soon.

The fury attached to the Bedroom Tax is growing fast as each day goes past.

Here are some of the latest links and comments on it:

    'Bedroom tax' legal challenge

Opponents of the Government's plans to withhold benefits from some social housing tenants, deemed to have spare rooms, are today launching a legal challenge against the so-called 'bedroom tax'.

Something tells me that this scandal is not going to go away any time soon and that everywhere we look on and off the internet we see the resistance to this cruel act hardening in.
