    Millionaire Milliband

Post by Guest on Fri 05 Oct 2012, 8:27 am

Claiming he is a 'man of the people' Ed Milliband found it easy enough to criticise David Cameron's wealth but dodged questions about his own wealth on the BBC Breakfast programme yesterday -

This man cares no more about the working man than drivers of Japanese cars. He only wants his place at the feeding trough of Westminster politics....

I suppose that I should invoke the old adage that two or even ten wrongs do not make a right, even if Miliband's supposed million includes the value of his assets.

His wages as a leader of the opposition do not put him in the millionaire's bracket.

Any way that you look it, I will admit that it is a dangerous thing to do to throw stones at windows when you have also lots of windows in your own house. ( Not too subtle I hope ).

This argument does not deny the fact that almost all of Cameron's cabinet are millionaires and it galls a bit when such people hammer the poor and the sick and the old while they give their fellow-millionaires tax breaks that they don't need.

Clumping Ed Miliband in that group does nothing to help the people that are NOT millionaires.

Unless he practices what he preaches then it makes him(and you) a hypocrite. You are fast enough to criticise Cameroon and his mates for being millionaires and 'out of touch' with the working class, so you have to assume the same of Millipede. Now if you were to accept that it doesn't matter how much money someone has he can still champion a cause then that would be fine - but it would also blow your main argument about the Tories out of the water Smile

Not at all ! This argument is only in your rather strange mind when you suddenly think that millionaires should be forgotten about and treated the same way as the poor and the sick and the old are treated in this cruel society.

Leaving aside the fact that Ed Miliband and probably a few more members of the Labour party might be millionaires, ( as they will - or should - also be taxed fairly just like the rest of em ), I STILL feel that we should be directing our efforts at helping those that need help and letting the rest of them - that do not need help - get on with it.

Please leave the personal attacks out of it and stick to the argument will you?

    Thanks

ALL millionaires should be taxed as their income suggests they should be !

Is that simple enough for you ?
