    Could, just Could ?

Post by Parliament.... on Mon 16 Apr 2012, 5:00 pm

    Hi site member, Go here

    Question.

Could Britain end up with a Tory Government after the next general election ?

And why, might you suggest that, after it has been intimated that the Liberal Democrats are going to be destroyed by the opinion polls ?

After all, they are two completely different entities and something tells me that there will NEVER be such an unholy coalition ever again. Without the support of the Liberal Democrats I don't think that the Tories will get enough votes to go it alone next time either.

Mind you, as the next GE is not until May 2015 there is still time for a lot of water to flow under the bridge.

Here is a curious bit of info' that I found in Wikipedia that is connected with this:

    Quote: Wikipedia:

"The next United Kingdom general election will be the election to the 56th Parliament of the United Kingdom. The election will be held on 7 May 2015 (save for a collapse of government or a two-thirds majority of MPs voting for an early election) under the terms of the Fixed-term Parliaments Act 2011.[2]"

That prompts me to ask: Do they know something that we don't ?

Yes, I did and strangely I could not get access to the forum yesterday afternoon either.

Everything seems to be back to normal now.

That's the thing about computers; they drive you mad when they don't do what you want them to.

I suppose that I can consider myself quite lucky as my wee lap-top has soldiered on for three years without as much as a hiccup.

Of course now that I have said that the bleedin thing will break down.
