BA still rip-off merchants ?

Post by papa_umau on Sun Jun 21, 2009 11:45 am

In a story to my favourite online tabloid today I was alarmed but not surprised at another act by BA that is a screaming rip-off.

A couple - who will be nameless - complained that they had been ripped off by BA as they travelled to Britain.

Seemingly they missed their allocated and paid-for flight, ( which was changed without them being informed ), and when the people turned up only to see that their flight was no longer available they were charged an extra £400.00 to get on to the next flight.

We all know that BA are strapped for cash at the moment but surely there should be things that they should not or will not do to try to raise their income levels ?

How petty is that then ?

So, what's new ?

I will not be surprised even if after their workforce have been forced to forgo a month's salary if they do not eventually go down the tubes.

I don't know how they might think that they can depend on their workforce having the kind of loyalty that they might need to give up a month's wages when they are sacking people right left and centre and they are STILL ripping off their travellers.

That's what most airlines do these days Paps - especially the budget airlines - who are often at airports in the middle of nowhere so god help you if the plane goes tech - they even charge for directions!

You are just being bitter and twisted again

Your "bitter and twisted" is my reason and fairness !

It doesn't matter who uses this practice as if it causes the consumers extra cost and inconvenience that was NOT their fault then the airlines should NOT be allowed to make more money out of their own mistakes and inefficiencies.

Why you cannot see this exasperates me and makes me wonder what you have in that head for brains.
