Throughout my working life I have had to change canoes midstream THREE TIMES and because of situations like yours I am now fully qualified in two trades and one profession. ( Even if I am now also retired ).

It is all about keeping faith, ( if you are a person of faith ), not getting disillusioned or discouraged and playing to your strengths, as Maril says.

I am sure that these words of advice sound a bit patronising but do not think that as there is no doubt that you can and probably will benefit from keeping going and not letting the bastards grind you down.
